HOW CAN A SCHOOL BE BURNT DOWN

By
Hon. Ayegba Emmanuel Okpanachi

HOW CAN A SCHOOL BE BURNT DOWN BECAUSE OF AN INDIVIDUAL WHO WAS GOING TO COMMISSION IT?

Remember the school will still be there long after the individual has lived his life and gone.

Today we are in a society where it seems, law and order has failed, but

As a people, we should condemn in its entirety, acts capable of taking us back to the pre-colonial age, when there were no schools. Violence can not continue to thrive in our society anymore, where schools are burnt down by hooligans without remorse.

Who is a Hooligan
A Hooligan is a violent young troublemaker, typically one that belongs to a gang.
Parents wake up to your responsibilities,

Teachers Teach more Morals and

Politicians, stop inciting violence using vulnerable youths to perpetuate evil in the land, because you will one day be judged by God.

Elders of the land, come out of your comfort zone and speak out, the land is bleeding, the people are crying, speak up let the people know your worth once more.

As concerned individual Let us rise together with one voice, one mind and speak on behalf of the children yet unborn. The legacy we leave today will either be positive or negative, but God forbid it be negative.

Food for thought.

1. As a people, we need a reorientation, we need to look really deep inside for the truth and it shall make us free.

2. As a people we need to be conscious of the consequences of our actions on others. Even a hooligan has conscience, therefore think before you act.

3. As a people we should love others the same way we will want others to love us irrespective of our individual, ethnic, religious etc differences.

4. As a people we should shun the politics  of bitterness, as much as possible.

5. As a people we need to be rational thinkers. Do not let anyone mislead you in whatever way or manner.

6. The mindset of positivity and productivity should be our focus at all times.

I will conclude by saying,
But a society at war with itself, is a deeply cracked house waiting to collapse. But the former is better.
A society truely built on Peace and unity, Love, Strength and Faith, Togetherness, etc remains formidable, undefeatable.

AYEGBA E. OKPANACHI.
